what I have been up to
It has been a while since my last post so I think it is time for another status update.
First off I will soon update the README files of my projects to include a list of my patreons with a link to the preferred profile and a small thank you to all of the contributers so sta tuned for that.
There has been a small update to the LedController which enabled programs to clear and refresh the data displayed on the Matrix.
I will write some documentation and a function that only resends the data without clearing the matrix first soon.
refreshSegments will clear and then call updateSegments to resend the internal data.
This is just a hotfix/workaround for a hardware problem which causes the displayed thinks to get really funky after some time refreshing the contents seems to help.
There has been some major progress on the redhand library.
There have been lots of fixes since it went public and the implementation of the Actor class is getting better and better.
While there is still an issue with the textures the progress is solid.
The past week I have been working on changing the packaging format from native to quilt which required a lot of work.
With that I also changed the version format.
The next release will be 0.1.0 and the first stable release will be 1.0.0 which will still take a while.
The daily build will be handled by launchpad and not by github actions.
Next week I will be on vacation so don’t expect any (major) updates, however soon after that there will be a first implementation of the collision detection.
In the next few moths there might not be as much progress as I would like to make but I have a university project that should be done in November and there are exams next month, so I will be quite busy.
Thanks again for all the support on patreon.
Til next time stay healthy and have fun.
